We are living in the fast-paced digital world. It’s a full-time job just keeping up with the latest digital media trends and capabilities. Long gone are days when you created an ad for magazine/newspaper, TV, perhaps a brochure, then call it a day. So the question is, do graphic design companies still produce traditional brochures, rack cards and booklets. Heck yea they do!
While digital media may rule the advertising world, there is still a need for well-designed collateral. As a full-service advertising agency, graphic-design is one of our many specialties. This allows Springboard to throw its hat in the ring with other graphic design companies. We also call ourselves a website design company, and a media buying company, but that’s another blog post for another day.
In just about every business, you meet with potential clients, and when you do, you need a piece of collateral that properly brands your business. Not just a business card, although you need that also. The collateral could be in the form of a two-sided rack card, or a brochure with a creative fold, maybe a booklet with cool use of spot varnish.
I mentioned branding in the previous paragraph, it’s important that the graphic design company creates a brochure that matches your company brand. I’ve seen companies that hire multiple companies for their website, brochure, stationary and signage. Often they end up with a group of marketing materials that don’t feel like members of the same family. It’s important that all of your marketing materials have the exact same messaging and visual look. The idea is that once potential customers see the exact same look and message multiple times in multiple forms, it really starts to resonate. After a while, your brand becomes recognizable at a glance.
Many graphic design companies forget this
You need a digital version of the brochure. One that you can post on your website and email to potential clients. What is often forgotten is to make certain adjustment for the digital version. Removing the mailing panel is a common oversight. Deleting background graphics that can interfere with online interaction is another. Make sure they make all URL’s active links also
