“Before choosing Largo, FL, I considered serval other cities, including Lisbon, Portugal,” said Brett Jones, Springboard Owner. “My love of Florida’s coastal lifestyle keeps me in the Sunshine State. Tampa Bay has offerings very similar to Fort Lauderdale’s, but the people of Tampa Bay seem much more local, while Fort Lauderdale is more of a melting pot. I will always have love for Lauderdale, but I’ve found the people here a little friendlier,” Jones continued.

Springboard has always supported and given back to the community it serves. One of the first things Brett did upon arrival was to rescue a lab named Cairo from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. “Cairo is a great companion, and I’m lucky to have him,” Brett said. Another way Brett gives back is by becoming a volunteer with Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc., whose mission is to provide solutions to community challenges by engaging volunteers aged 55+. S.I.S. connected him with Disability Achievement Center. This fantastic org assists people with disabilities in achieving and maintaining an independent lifestyle.
